About the show

A brief history...

The Royal Report originally started as a blog - this one! The idea was to have a daily royal news blog with humourous observations on those stories. Unfortuately that didn't work very well and the blog went on hold. Then Marilyn discovered podcasting and The Royal Report show was born.

With no idea what she was getting herself into, and how much work would be involved, she jumped in and created the show on NowLive. It premiered on August 6, 2007 and remained at NowLive until technical difficulties forced the switch to BlogTalkRadio in November 2008. Prior to the switch the show had a primitive, underground bunker feel. Joining BlogTalkRadio added a new dimension to the show, namely a rousing, inspiring theme song, sound effects and changing the description from a mere 'podcast' to the more impressive sounding 'Internet radio.'

Hosted by Marilyn Braun, compulsive collector of books and inveterate royal watcher, Marilyn has appeared on CBC Newsworld, CTV News, CBC Radio, CP24 (CablePulse 24), the Stephen Nolan show on BBC 5 Live and Breakfast on Newstalk ZB with Mike Hosking. She also blogs at Marilyn's Royal Blog, The Royal Chronicles and The Kate Middleton Report.

The Royal Report is a humourous and informative weekly Internet radio show about current events in the British Royal family and is broadcast LIVE (almost) every Sunday at 9:00PM EST at www.blogtalkradio.com/royalreport

Thanks for visiting and for listening!
